It's an English Irish boy band consisting of Niall Horan, Harry styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and previously Zayn Malik based in London. It's commonly abbreviated as 1D.

It was discovered in 2010 during the X factor in the UK.
The band was formed by Simon Cowell in 2010 and they were signed into Syco records.

Their albums include :Up all night, midnight Memories, drag me down.
Their songs which were among the hit and stayed for a long time in the billboard chart include :

One direction were claimed to be the wealthiest young musicians under 30 years of age.
In 2013,they won the American awards emerging first.

They are celebrated in the whole world. In 2015, Zayn Malik departed from the band.
They rest made their fifth album History with the song History which was a big hit.
