Unemployment

Unemployment is a state of being jobless.
This is what everyone tries to avoid at all costs. Some may or not succeed.
Some people entirely depend on being self employed. They believe they can make lots of money if they employ themselves.

However, there are unlucky ones who don't even find a job to sustain themselves. There some types of unemployment which include :

•Seasonal unemployment which is caused by the variation of seasons which affects the economic activity.

For example, the agricultural sector and tourism.
There's a season whereby tourists visit the country at a higher rate than usual. At these times, people find some employment.
In the agricultural sector, when the people harvest, farmers and other laborers have some manual work to do.

When the harvesting, planting seasons are gone, there's no work anymore.

•Technological unemployment which is caused by technological advancement. The introduction of modern technologies have led to workers being retrenched. Their services are not needed anymore.

Effects of unemployment are;
•High level of poverty.
•High level of drug abuse and crime rates
•Low level of living standards.

The government can step in and provide some employment to the young people. Not all people can be satisfied, but if some of the people are given jobs, then their living standards will rise rapidly.
