HONESTY

Honesty is telling the truth at all times.
Telling the truth relieves a person and a burden is lifted off their shoulders.

Being honest, is what is right. Some situations however may require one to lie. It's not wise to lie no matter the situation.
It could be necessary and to save ourselves but it shouldn't be the case.
In the Bible, Jesus said that the truth will set us free. Sometimes it may not be possible. We all fear that if we tell the truth, we'll be condemned and no one will understand.
That could be true. I'd suggest we tell the truth at all times, no matter the consequences.

Just accept that you made a mistake and tell the truth. Most people, but not all, will understand and let it go.
